A Christmas Card with 1 Stamp & 1 Die Set

It is fun to pile the goodies onto a project when you have them however, there are days when time (& budget) dictate a card that brings on the wow with only a few supplies.  For today's card I used 1 stamp set from JustRite Papercraft and 1 die set from Spellbinders.  If you don't have the die you can always substitute it for a rectangular one that you have or create a simple rectangular card from cardstock.

The JustrRite stamp set is part of a series of new releases this July.  The set is called:

I colored the Christmas images in with Copic Markers and added highlights with Spectrum Noir Pencils.  The Spellbinders die template is Labels Twenty Nine

There is ton's more inspiration from the JustRite Team...

Thanks for joining me today!

Classical Christmas Card and Tag

The classic look of black & white ribbon against contrasting holiday colors forms the foundation for both of my projects.   I used Kraft cardstock for the neutral background making my stamped and colored images the focal point.

Both the stamp sets are new releases from JustRite Paper Craft.

I colored both images with Copic markers and highlighted areas with Spectrum Noir pencils.   The Bells of Christmas image was die cut with Vintage Labels Two Dies.

Once again the Designers over at JustRite Papercraft have all provided beautiful samples for additional inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. It's Monday and I hope this beautiful morning is a sign of an even more beautiful week.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

I love assembling little scenes using a variety of stamps.  For this twinkling card I used two stamps sets and carefully layered and pieced together various elements to achieve my glowing Christmas eve look.

I started off with my background stamp which I inked up using two tones of blue.  I created an oval mask for the glowing light, which left me a blank area to color with my Copics.

I used the oval stamp to create my mask for the lamp glow.  To make my street lamp more dimensional I stamped it on my card front and once again on another piece of cardstock which I fussy cut and adhered with foam adhesive squares.  I filled in the glowing area and glass of the lamp with a glaze and added some glitter for sparkle.

That pretty little tag is a custom die template from JustRite Papercraft called:

and those glowing gold gems are from Want 2 Scrap.

Once again the ladies over at JustRite have put together such pretty samples to choose from - I particularly like the signs with snow on them!

I will be back soon with more JustRite goodies. Thanks for stopping by and cheers to a crafty weekend!

Fun Stampers Journey: Thank You Tagged Pocket Card

I am excited to share with you all that I have joined a brand new company, embarking on a very adventurous and super creative journey.  Fun Stampers Journey is a direct sales company and I am an official founding coach! Eeek :)  I will let you all know more about that later in my next post but for now I want to share my very first project using FSJ stamps, die cuts, adhesives, cardstock and the most amazing and delicious Journey Glaze!!!

Thank You Tagged Pocket Card

Please visit Fun Stampers Journey's Website to view these and other products from the Catalog

I created a pocket card using the Tagged Pocket Die from Fun Stampers Journey.  This is a great way to add a personal, removable note, gift card or money

Cardstock: Whip Cream  Die Template: Tagged Pocket

1. Position a section of Whip Cream cardstock over the die
2.  Cut & emboss the Tagged Pocket using FSJ Tagged Pocket Die
3. Fold both tabs along scored lines on either side to form the pocket

Cardstock: Whip Cream  Stamp: Summer Garden Ink: Black Licorice

1. Stamp the Summer Garden image using Black Licorice ink onto Whip Cream cardstock
2. Color one image using Copic markers
3. Color only the flower on the second image
4. Fussy cut both images

1. Stamp Hexagon Print onto Summer Days cardstock using Pineapple Smoothie ink
2. Trim to create front and inside panel of Tagged Pocket
3.  Adhere the Hexagon panels to the front and inside of the card using White Liner adhesive
4.  Adhere Journey Twine Natural to the pocket panel
5. Adhere the fussy cut Summer Garden flower to the pocket panel
6.  Use a foam adhesive square to pop the second flower onto the main image.
7. Create a shiny dimensional accent by applying Journey Glaze to the flower.
8.  Stamp sentiment from Summer Garden using Pineapple Smoothie ink onto Whip Cream cardstock
9.  Mat panel onto Lemon Grass cardstock background
10. Finish by punching a hole in the top of the tag and tying a decorative bow.

Please visit Fun Stampers Journey's Website to view these and other products from the Catalog

Coloring Holly and Berries with Pencils and Markers

One of the reasons I love stamping is because I love to color!  I don't use crazy complicated stamping techniques on my cards, instead I settle for good old coloring in methods with markers or pencils!  On today's card I used both mediums to achieve the rich gorgeous jewel tone colors and hand sketched textured pencil lines.

I used only ONE stamp set from JustRite Papercraft to complete this card.  Love the idea of whipping these cards out faster than I can say Ho-Ho-Ho!

To be honest with you all the coloring does take a little time.  I suggest stamping several images at once and then do all the coloring of the leaves, moving onto the berries, bells and backgrounds.  I grab a cup of coffee, select the few colors that I will need and while the kids are at swim practice, or while watching a favorite show I sit and color.  Before I know it I have a few cards ready to assemble and go!

I used a combination of Spectrum Noir Markers and Pencils for this image

There are beautiful designs from the Design Team.  Here are their blog links

Have a wonderful Sunday!   I want to organize my craft room - I just can't find things anymore so obviously my filing system (or lack thereof)  needs a bit of an overhaul!

Head Start on Christmas Cards!

I know it is a tad early ;) however if you are like me getting a head start on the Holidays is probably a good thing because the mad rush right before Christmas time is really not fun right?  I created this simple little Christmas card with the idea of making a whole bunch.  It is not very complicated but it has the pizazz of glitter and bling to make it extra special

There are two JustRite Papercraft products on this card - one a stamp set and the other the beautiful intricate die.

The die template is a JustRite Papercraft exclusive from Spellbinders.   I love love love the details!

I really enjoy coloring in images, wether with markers or pencils.  My brand new Spectrum Noir markers arrived in the mail yesterday - perfect timing.  I added pencil highlights around the ornaments right over the areas I colored with markers!  LOVE this effect because it highlights areas and gives the image a sketchy look!

I think you are going to LOVE all the variations of this set from the Design Team

Have a wonderful day.   I am going to enjoy a beautiful warm morning with the girls before getting a little creative this afternoon!

A Card Inspired by Lilly Pulitzer

I love the beautiful fresh colors used by fashion and home ware designer  Lilly Pulitzer.  Her signature scattered pink flowers with green leaves and turquoise background have made her an iconic figure in the industry!  My card today was inspired by her classic design...

The background stamp set is new from JustRite Papercraft called:

Floral Stitched Cling

Also up is a beautiful new delicate die template that I used as a label for my sentiment:

Here is your JustRite inspiration from the other team members!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  It is going to be a warm one here in Colorado so I am going to stay cool and crafty!  See you tomorrow

Stamped Roses Thank You Card

Today starts a series of wonderful new release stamps from JustRite Papercraft. I created this thank you card with one of my all-time favorite color combinations in mind.  Using Pink and Green together remains a classic wether working with paper, paint or icing!

{Tip}

I stamped the rose image on the green background and colored the entire image in black.  After stamping the roses on white cardstock I colored them with markers.  Then I fussy cut the entire image  and used a foam square to pop it up over the black image. This creates a dramatic shadow effect

The roses and sentiment are from the set called

If you look carefully you may notice a textured background stamped in green.  That stamp is also a new release set:

The JustRite team have brought you so many beautiful ways to use this set:

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope we have left you with a little inspiration to get crafty!

A Card for a Boy & a Girl

As promised here is is a card that leans a little towards the gender neutral side of things. Not too masculine and not too frilly feminine.  I thought the grey tones and structured design would appeal to a young couple just starting out on a journey of discovery

Once again I have two stamps sets so display as part of JustRites new release.  First up is the cute bicycle image:

Next I used the background stamp on the center banner.  I stamped the design at the top and bottom (right below the sentiment) and heat embossed

Oh and those gorgeous dark blue gems on the wheels of the bicycle are from Want-2-Scrap.  It is my favorite color - so deep and royal like. Thanks Michelle!

Here's the link list directing you to fabulous creations by the design team

Well I am on the road again.  For those of you in the Novi Michigan area let me know if you are attending the Great Lakes Mega Meet Scrapbooking Convention.  I will be there, together with Spellbinders!

Glitter Cupcake Card

It seems that there is a birthday party invitation in the mail every week.  With two little girls in the house we are constantly looking for that perfect gift for a fellow 8 or 10 year old friend and of course both our girls want one of "Mom's Cards" to give away.  I love this set from JustRite because it is age appropriate for the very young (think 1st Birthday) to the very "Young at Heart".

I used JustRite Papercrafts new set called

Cupcake Wishes

After stamping the image onto white cardstock I colored a few sections with my Copic markers.  I applied some embossing solution over the entire area and dusted on a fine glitter.  The embossed design around the oval and the label shape are JustRite custom dies from Spellbinders

The design team have all created beautiful projects to give you tons of ideas on how to use this set for years to come!

I have one more set for you tomorrow.  It's a little more masculine for those of you thinking of creating something not quite so pink and pretty.  Till then have a great Friday - hope it's a crafty one!
