Lucky Ducky

Good Tuesday Morning to you all. We are having the most glorious weather - it is quite cool and rainy in Colorodo. Perfect weather to get some chores done after a somewhat lazy weekend. I made this card for the BBTB challenge that Regina hosts every week. This week the designers had to use the word Lucky from the Alphalicious cricut cartridge. I used a bunch of cartridges on this one: New Arrival, Celebrations and Alphalicious. This card would be perfect to welcome Lucca into the world. He is my brand new nephew, who was born today: Happy Birthday Lucky Ducky - we love you so much already :)

Best Friends Forever

This is the card I made based off of Lucy's sketch at My Sketch World. A little different to my usual style but I kinda like the whimsy of it all. Hope your Sunday is going wonderful - especially because tomorrow is a holiday too :)

Souffle Pen Set Winner Announced

Before I announce the winner I would like to thank Sakura for sponsoring this awesome prize. I really am a huge fan of these wonderful pens and use them on almost all of my cards and layouts. On Sakura's website you can order products, find a store in your area that stocks Sakura products, have your LSS order products if they don't already carry the range or be inspired by gorgeous works like that of Artist Sharon Silver. Please visit this great sponsor HERE - you won't be disappointed :) Thanks so much to everyone that participated in my Sketch Challenge to win a set of Souffle pens from Sakura. The cards are all very beautiful and creative. It was really exciting for me to check my blog and be surprised to find yet another gorgeous card - your work provides me with the inspiration to create too. Here is a list of everyone that entered and a link to their blogs, so that you can see, not only their cards for this sketch but also their amazing work:
Allison, Annie, Becky, Christy, Danielle, Deanne, Em, Giovanna, Heather, Ingrid, Jen, Krista, Lisa, Mamaluke, Michelle, Pam, Pearl, Qween Davia, Rebecca, Rima, Sharon, Stef, Steven, Sue, Teriberi, TerrieBx, and Tommieannie
A special thanks also goes out to my good friend, Lisa, who helped me select a winner for this challenge.
An honorable mention goes out to the youngest participant, Steven, who at 8 years old made two darling cards. Steven please have your mom send me your address so I can send you something special in the mail
(Steven's Mom contacted me and told me about his participation. Although Steven's card was not actually considered part of this competition, his mother and I have communicated. I offered to send them art products from me personally as a token of appreciation from me, for his efforts.)
The Winner of the Sakura Souffle Pen set goes to: Mamaluke Congratulations. We loved the colors, dimensions and details on your card. Please email me your address so I can get your prize off to you as soon as possible :)
Please stop by next week, on June 1st, for our big announcement. It is going to be super fun and exciting that I can promise you...

More yummy Bazzill projects

As many of you know, Scrap 4 Life, is offering 10% off all Bazzill until the end of May which is a good thing because I go though a LOT of their products. I made this card from their awesome pre-cut scalloped card size cardstock. The black border is one of their products too and so is the chipboard flower! You get a bunch of scalloped borders for your pages or cards in a little bag, and in a variety of colors too (I chose the black naturally). We are off to have a picnic at Ashton's school for last day - FUN! Have a super Thursday x Kazan
Reminders 1. Last Day to submit your card to win the Sakura Pen Set is this Saturday at Midnight. See my latest sketch listed on a previous thread for details. 2. Laura and I have a big announcement on June 1st - you won't want to miss it :)

All About Brad

Our good friends Brad and Janelle are back in town and we are thrilled. Brad wanted to know if he was on my blog..um okay...(Brad knows nothing about scrapbooking or cardmaking) so I said of course he was on my blog. So here you go Brad - this is for you - Welcome back. We missed you guys...and for the record I think you two are having a girl :)

In Daddy's Humongous Shoes

There was a lot of giggling going on one Saturday morning - both girls had their Dad's shoes on and were parading around the family room. I honestly can't tell you how little feet managed to pick up size 14 shoes and walk in them without crashing to the floor. I took these candid pictures and did a simple layout. The weekend looks wonderful here in Colorado - Spring is finally here to stay so we will spend it outdoors. Hope your Saturday is turning out to be a good one too. Take Care Kazan

It's all about Play time

I made this layout about Ashton a few weeks ago. She was "climbing" a tree at a local park having so much fun. I think this is what childhood is all about - discoveries and play. I hope she remembers this time in her life fondly like I do mine. **Card Sketch Challenge going on now. A beautiful set of Souffle pens from Sakura is up for grabs for the most beautiful card. A time for Thanks and Giving

This time of year always seems busy because both girls are nearing the last day of school. Alex has 3 teachers so I made these up for them. Each person gets a glass vase filled with imported cookies and then I made a gift card holder and attached it to the vase with ribbon. Elizabeth demonstrated how to fold the gift card holder on Scrap 4 life under the NSD thread.

Thank you Teachers

These little gifts are for Ashton and Alex's Teachers. Just a small token of thanks for the wonderful job that they do and to let them know that we do appreciate them. The tin note card holders are from Micheals. I added a set of note cards and matching envelopes and then tied a bow on top. The tag is a fun new stamp from 7Gypsies. The little boxes are also from Michaels. They happen to have mini candy bars called Clark (nudge nudge wink wink) which I filled the boxes with and then added the ribbon and tags too.

Get Well Soon Tag

How appropriate that this be the tag I make for the BBTB Challenge Blog because Regina is a bit under the weather. So Regina I hope you are feeling much better and that you "get well soon". For this weeks challenge we had to make a project using the mug & steam from the Christmas Cheer Cricut Cartridge. Enjoy. For those of you that would like to still post a link of their card based off of the sketch that I posted a few days ago please do. I will create a post on Wednesday with a link to all the beautiful cards. The sketch can be found HERE
