Cake for Laura

My Pal & Partner is celebrating her b/day today - Happy Birthday Laura. I hope this day is fabulous and that you celebrate it like a Rock Star! I guess it is appropriate then to post a picture of a Cake Box that I made for Regina's Bitten by the Bug Challenge. I decided to go with an African inspired theme: the colors, guinea fowl feathers and porcupine quills are all reminders of my homeland...

The Show was amazing :)

Just a quick recap of our weekend - the ballet recital was amazing. Ashton did her 2min little number like a super star. My child may never be a prima ballerina but boy did she make us proud on that stage...although I did get the giggles just a bit (oh alright I burst out laughing) because these kids are just so darn cute - I know they could never hear me and I am sure I did not offend anyone because the parents around me were laughing too...If I ever learn how to download a video I will post it here for you all to see - it is darling :) Hope you had a super weekend - this week is a crazy one because school starts - yay! xoxo Kazan

Ballet Recital, A Party and Stamp Expo - Oh My!

These cards were made with fabulous paper from SEI. I love their products and Scrap 4 Life has the entire SEI range at 10% off until the end of the Month!
I have a crazy weekend planned - filled to the brim with activities and all sorts of fun stuff! Ashton is participating in another Ballet Recital on Saturday. The last one was so cute that I am looking so forward to this one too - this event promises to make me smile for an hour solid watching my 4 year old on stage doing a ballet performance. Our friends Christo and Sonia are celebrating their new home by throwing a bash tonight which promises to be loads of fun too. Then on Sunday Laura and I are looking forward to the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbooking Expo in Colorado Springs. Send me a quick note to let me know if you will be there so we can pop in and say hello. Have a wonderful weekend :) Hugs Kazan

I love you Berry Much

Regina has the funnest challenges on her blog for Cricut owners. This week we had to use the strawberry from the Indie Art Cartridge. I made ANOTHER shaped card - seriously I am addicted to shaped cards :) See what the other designers did with this cut at:

Today is a day of errands - I need to see Frank at the Post Office (I am there so often lately that we are on first name basis) and I have more than a few chores to do at home :) Hope your Wednesday is a good one. xoxo Kazan

Monday = 2S4Y!

This is my first card using a dress stamp which I loved making because I never wear dresses. I just don't think I am a dress person. Don't get me wrong I do love glamour but in other shapes and forms - like tailored suits, hats, heels and jewelery. I made this card based off of this weeks sketch at 2 Sketches 4 you. The Gorgeous Design Team did a fab job on their versions of the sketch too...hope to see you there :) Hugs Kazan

Starting to feel a lot like ...Fall

We woke up this morning to find Colorado soaked under a blanket of clouds and soft rain. What a relief after the record high temperatures we were experiencing just a short while ago. I think today is a day for comforts - coffee, baking and snuggling on the sofa with books, magazines and a movie :) I hope your Friday is filled with good comfort experiences too :) Kazan

Special Moments with SEI

I was so excited to learn that the Manufacturer of the Month at Scrap 4 Life is SEI - I love their products :) The little cupcake box is decorated with SEI paper and the sentiment is SEI too. Today the girls and I will spend with playdates at the pool...How does your Wednesday look? Hope it is a good one Hugs Kazan

I loved making this weeks challenge project over at Bitten by the Bug. There is something about making holiday projects in July that is so uplifting. I love all the holidays coming up and I really can't wait to start creating for each one of them...This week we had to use the Stocking Cut from the Cricut cartridge Holiday Cheer - and it turned out to be perfect design for a Holiday Tag Ornament of Alex :) Have a lovely Monday :) Kazan

Toot Toot!

I wish :) Actually I thought it would make a cute title for this weeks card at Regina's Bitten By the Bug. The Card reads: Toot. Super Star. The cut is from New Arrival and is the gorgeous little train. Hope you all have an amazing week filled with creativity and fun. :)
