Fall Colors - Thank You!

DeNami Design make THE cutest Stamps eva! I have started using their stamps on my cards and I am in love with how elegant and gorgeous they are. This week DeNami Design are the sponsors at 2S4Y and this is the card I made using their Thank You stamp. We will also celebrate World Card Making Day on October 4 so stay tuned for more exciting news.
Here at home Ashton won her final soccer game which was super fun to watch. The Team celebrated afterwards with Pizza and Juices (yum!). Our little family also took a drive into the mountains yesterday to see the Fall colors. I think this was our best viewing year yet because we caught the Aspen at their glowing best. I am so grateful that we live in such a beautiful state.
Have a lovely Week See you a bit later for more news and postings Hugs Kazan

Thank Heaven for Little Girls

The sponsor this week at 2S4Y is ShortCuts. They provided the DT with these awesome clear cards. I loved using them because they are very sturdy and can hold the ton of embellies I tend to put on my cards - I think I need the jumbo pack at 10% off *wink*! This is my take on Laura's Sketch 9!
While Alex was at school today Ashton and I celebrated "Ashton & Mommy Day". After swimming we went to the mall, did a little shopping and had lunch together. I love this precious time with her. Every Wednesday is now "Ashton & Mommy Day"
Have a good one :) Kazan

Block Party

Happy Fall
I made this card for Regina's Bitten by the Bug challenge blog. It is a clear, sturdy card (available from Shortcuts) that can comfortably hold embellishments without folding. We had to use the House cut from the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. Once again everyone showed a wide variety of ideas which can be seen here: BBTB

2S4Y & Scor-it

I made this Note Card & Envelope Pocket Card using my fabulous Scor-it! It is a scoring tool that is absolutely invaluable to cardmakers and scrapbookers. It makes folding cards so easy. Just place your paper face down, score and fold - VOILA! You can get all the details on the Scor-it, how-to's and an inspiring gallery at: The following is a Tutorial on how to make the Note Card & Envelope Pocket Card. The cover is based off of my sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You where Card of the Week could win you a Scor-it Mini and matching Tote Bag:
Step 1:
Take a sheet of 12 x 12 double sided patterned paper. My sample has a plain red design on the back and a decorative green nature design on the front. Flip your paper over so the back is facing up and score down the middle of your pages. Rotate the page to the other side and score down the middle once again. Your page will now be divided into 4 squares with scored lines forming a cross from side to side.
Step 2:
Take the top left hand corner of your pages and gently fold it in to the middle line (forming a triangle). Position your page so that the crease line lies along your score board blade and score on that line. It will make folding so much neater and easier if you are using heavier cardstock.
Step 3:
Follow the same procedure as Step 2 with the right corner of your page.
Step 4:
Fold the point of your page down, following one of your original score lines, so that it touches the bottom of your page.
Step 5:
Fold your point back to touch the top of your fold line.
Step 6:
Fold your card in half and you have the making of a folded card that can hold little notes and matching envelopes. The cover can be embellished and decorated to suite your fancy. I attached a ribbon to mine so that I can tie it up and everything stays neatly in place and I used the gorgeous Medium Curly Christmas Tree Stamp (J114) from DeNami Design. The tree is colored in with Sakura Glaze Pens
Have a wonderful Monday :) Kazan

Laura's Sketch #8

Scrap 4 Life's Guest Designer, Kayla, is holding a card challenge at S4L. The challenge is to use any sketch from 2S4Y *wink* and you have to use a sticker on the card. I chose to make a card based on Laura's sketch and the sticker I used is one made my DCWV.
So much fun to play on this super cloudy afternoon.
Thanks Ladies :)

Finally something creative & a surprise Toot!

Here is my project for the challenge this week at Bitten By the Bug. The Design Team were asked to use the Basket from the Doodlecharms Cartridge. Such a versatile little cut too as can be seen by all the great examples from the other Designers. I hope you all have an amazing week.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that this little tag picked up the accolade of Layout of the Day at Create My Keepsake. Yay! How exciting. Thank you so much! Create My Keepsake is a wonderful website with an amazingly talented community. Take a peek when you have a moment - you won't be disappointed!
Happy Monday :) Kazan

Super Busy...

So with all the anticipation of school starting it feels as if has crept up on me! I am frantically busy just trying to get into my routine again. It is amazing how a lovely long summer tends to make one forget how organized you once were :)
I don't have any projects to post because I am working on Design Team stuff and TWO special projects that I can only reveal much later...but these are biggies so I will keep you posted on my progress on them. These pictures were taken of the girls at Jeffery Lake in Nebraska. They had so much fun and a little time for R&R too.

What a lovely weekend...Toot!

My card for the sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You this week.
We just returned from a wonderful weekend visiting our friends in Nebraska. It is so hard to describe the beauty of the location of this fabulous Lake House in one short paragraph but every time we go we are in awe of the beautiful surroundings. The best part is visiting with Ted & Linda, Nic & Brian and their amazing network of friends...thanks for the mini-break at your beautiful home - We love Nebraska! After a long drive home and some serious unpacking I was pleasantly surprised to find that one of my cards has been picked up for publication by Scrapbook Trends Babies Idea Book. Yay! I must say this is a pick-me-up tonic to get creative again after a busy weekend.
