Happy Birthday Sonia

It seems my friends and I celebrate our Birthdays for weeks on end. Sonia had a birthday last week Thursday and we celebrated with her yesterday. I think she has plans for this week too but her biggest surprise is their new Home - gorgeous! Happy Birthday Sonia :) I took advantage of Regina's BBTB challenge this week to make her a B/day Card. Basic {Grey} Love

I simply love the line from this company! The Design Team at Scrap 4 Life had to design cards and layouts using Piggy Tales products. I made this card using Piggy Tales Springs. These little gadgets are awesome - they are like pop-dots on steroids :) The butterflies tuck in neatly when the card is closed and then "boiing!!!" they SPRING to life when the card is opened. a Fruit Salad Bowl & Tagged..

This week at BBTB we had to make a project using the Banner Cut on the Celebrations Cartridge. The girls are celebrating their birthdays next month and the theme is Butterflies..so I am experimenting... Tagged by DeeDee and Nikki (Thanks for your sweet comments you two!)...since I have not posted anything in a while (waiting for DT stuff to be released) here is a little more about me for today:

• Ten years ago.... I got married, left a wonderful career as an Event Planner in South Africa and moved with my new husband to America. 1998 was certainly a year to remember. I also met my Scrapbooking partner Laura at that time and lets just say the rest is history ;)
• Five things on today's "to do list" 1. Put in a load of Laundry 2. Take the girls to Crocodile Rock 3. Buy ingredients to make Martha's Mac&Cheese for dinner tonight 4. Pick up the house for dinner guests this evening. 5. Feed the neighbors fish.
• Snacks I enjoy I don't have a sweet tooth but boy do I like anything salty - yum! pass the bag of chips please!
• Things I would do if I was a millionaire Get my family here with me as soon as possible. Buy myself 10 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes.
• Places I have lived Pretoria South Africa, Milwaukee Wisconsin, a village in Peru (not for long just while Kev was working on a project there), and now home - Denver Colorado.

A HUGE Toot this Morning

Father's Day is coming up

We don't usually do big things for Father's Day or Mother's day - we spend the day together, have special meals and enjoy our little family. However, this Father's Day we are going to have to step up the adoration for Dad just a little bit because I was totally spoiled on Mother's Day - way spoiled. So! How do you top that for Father's Day? I think I am going to turn to his 4th love - Golf! A brand new golf club to some men is almost better than diamond earrings to most women (wink!)...Pin It

Miss You

The popsicle cut from Cricut's Doodlecharms was the DT' challenge this week at Regina's BBTB.

This card is so appropriate for me now - Summertime reminds me of my Family in South Africa, BBQ's, swimming and good times.  I miss them dearly and I miss those days with them - so here is my Summer popsicle card that reads Miss You.

Card for 2 Sketches 4 You & a Martini

This is the card I made based off of my first sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You. We are having so much fun over there meeting fabulous new artists and viewing the most gorgeous cards that I have to remind myself that I do have a blog here too :) If you have not already hopped over there go and take a peek.. For this weeks challenge over at BBTB we had to use the grasshopper on the Stretch you Imagination Cartridge for our Cricuts. I did have a hard time with this one - grasshoppers are just not my thing, but I did manage to come up with a recipe for a Grasshopper Martini Card. I have a busy two days ahead of me - half way through some design team work for Scrap 4 Life and then I have an idea or two floating around for a card for Regina's BBTB.
