A day in History..

This week the Design Team at Bitten By the Bug used the gorgeous Heart cut from the Wedding Cartridge. I just used the blackout feature and embellished it with goodies on my desk. The other Designers works are beautiful. Take a look at BBTB.

I don't recall a time in my life when I had so much hope and optimism for my future as I did on this Election day. I think maybe because my future is not my own anymore but that of my Children. I was very proud to be a part of American history on this day 01.20.09

Wednesday Mornings Ashton and I spend time together while Alex is at school. In our house this day and every other Wednesday has officially become: Ashton & Mommy Day. We go to swim lessons, do a little shopping and have a nice lunch together. These few hours spent one on one with her has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me as a Mom.
Something Fun Photo Tag
Carla photo-tagged me so now it is my turn to Tag 6 people. Here is what you need to do:

Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.

  1. Pick the 6th Folder, then select the the 6th picture in that folder.
  2. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
  3. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.
6th Folder 6th Picture Tag .
Nico is one of Kev's greatest friends. When we lived in South Africa the two of them were inseparable two peas in a pod. Nico was also Kev's best man at our wedding. This picture was taken at Pecanwood Estate, one of the premier golf courses in South Africa, about 4 years ago.
.
I am tagging our 2S4Y Winter DT: Hanneke, Heidi, Katie, Kristen, Peet & Rae
.
I cant' believe we are midweek into mid January already. I hope your Wednesday is going just as well.
Have a good one
Hugs

  3. Gorgeous card, Kazan. You always do a great job on the BBTB challenges. And January 20th was indeed a historical day. I watched the inauguration with my girls, and although they didn't really understand it I wanted them to be part of it. About a few years they will probably better understand this historical moment.
