A Heart that Loves...

I have a curios habit: Whenever I need to make a card for a specific occasion I never dig into my stash of cards - lying in a box in my craft cupboard - instead I make one from scratch.  This little quirk may however change with this darling stamp set, Friendship Set from JustRite Stampers.  The sentiment is so sweet and applies to just about anyone I know that is over the age of *ahem* 39 ;)  Here are the supplies and instructions on how I made this card...
What you will need:
Stamps: JustRite Friendship Set (JB 08730) which fits a 3 1/4" wood stamper.  I also used the adorable Demi Dot Circle Frame from DeNami Design.
Paper: October Afternoon and cardstock from AC Cardstock Summer.
Accessories: Zing Embossing Powder, Versamark Watermark Stamp pad.
Die Templates: Spellbinders  Fair Isle Border Petites, Lg Scalloped Octagons, Standard Circles Lg.  Markers: Copic
Constructing the card:
Double mat a strip of patterned paper and green paper to orange and pink cardstock.  Adhere to the front of your 6x6 card base.  Die-cut a scalloped border and embellish with ribbon and adhere to the front of the card with foam dots.  Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock using the watermark stamp pad.  Dust with embossing powder and set with a heat tool.
Position two of your circle die-templates around the sentiments.  Place them cut side down and secure with tape then flip the set over to cut sentiment frame.  Stamp the cake image on white carstock and color using makers. Neatly trim around edge.  Stamp and emboss dotted circle border on blue cardstock and assemble with stamped frame and image. Mount onto black scalloped die and adhere to the front of the card with foam dots.
You still have time to enter this weeks challenge at JustRite Stampers to win $50 worth of Stamp goodies. Details HERE...
