Why hello Summer :)

We are finally enjoying some really nice weather just in time for this wonderful Memorial Day weekend.   The girls have been outside in the sprinkler all morning while we got busy sprucing up the yard and house.  I love fresh flowers in my home and I also like giving friends flowers whenever I can.  While scouring the clearance sections at Michael's I found this container.  All I did to jazz it up was cover the sides with some fresh summery Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday.  To make the tag I used Spellbinders S4-208 In Spades Pendant  and S4-127 Classic Scalloped Squares Large.  The little vintage flower image is from Crafty Secrets.

I hope to spend a little time in my craft room creating before heading back outside for more summer fun. I hope you all have a wonderful safe, fun and summery Memorial Day Weekend :)

2S4Y is 2 and we are celebrating!

This week is a super fun & hot one at 2 Sketches 4 You.   Not only is it our 2 Year Anniversary *yay* but we have two fun sponsors that are helping us celebrate!  WPlus9 has the most adorable stamps.  I worked with the Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions set which comes with a variety of foliage, birds and a butterfly :)

I am also excited to bring to you for the very first time a product that I saw at CHA that rocked my world:

I love so many things about this stampers positioner tool including the large surface (I am a scrapbooker too), the non-slip positioners and how super easy it is to achieve very professional results!  Following is a small tutorial of my card for this week using WPlus9 Stamps and Cathie Allen's Position-it

Cathie Allen's Position-it Tutorial

The Position-it comes with a large grid surface that allows you to perfectly align your paper and stamp in the exact same place over and over again.  The 'non-slip' main positioner is secured with removable pegs which allows you to snugly fit your stamper in position without moving.  The non-slip sub-positioner allows you to perfectly align your wood and cling mount stamps on your paper and work over larger areas - even 12x12 scrapbook pages.  Once I stamped my image on my paper I stamped the same image on the clear acetate sheet and placed it in position over the area that I wanted to stamp. To achieve the darker shades of green I simply stamped the same image over and over again without smudging or creating double-vision images.

To achieve a stamped image with an outline I used two WPlus9 stamps.  I first stamped the solid leaf in green.  Line your paper up on the Position-it grid.  Using the clear acetate square, stamp the outlined image and line it up over the solid image.  Secure paper against the main positioner with the sub-positioner and stamp the outline image over the solid image..

There are so may fun techniques to try with your Position-it including stamping on dark paper, stamping perfectly aligned backgrounds & borders and filling in color.  Next week I will bring you another tutorial showcasing a different technique so stay tuned :)  Don't forget to check out the sketch and Design Team's cards at 2 Sketches 4 You . Each Designer also has a tutorial on their blogs!

Have a fantastic Monday

Count the Stars

Supplies: Digital Image: The Stamping Boutique.  Paper: Webster's Pages Die-templates: Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles SM and Stand Circles SM

Wow this has been a busy week and it is only Wednesday!  I did manage to sneak in craft time while doing PTCO and Classroom volunteering stuff - not to mention swim practice, Girl Scouts, Math, grocery and birthday present shopping and Dr. appointments - thank goodness for my little haven I call my studio :)

This card is based off of Laura's Sketch 52 at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I used the fairy image from The Stamping Boutique who is the sponsor this week.  You can find out all the details and the sketch here: 2 Sketches 4 You.

I have a ton of projects that I am working on and will be able to share soon but for now I need to do a bit of crafty sorting out!

Have a great Mid-week

Mint Motif Debuts today :)

Yay!  The day has finally arrived for Mint Motif to officially launch their beautiful stamp sets.  Kimberly Crawford has done a wonderful job designing her debut lines which include the ever so quaint Very Square Set and the darling little sentiments set to match called Very Square Sentiments.  These sets are available for purchase right now!  Here are the details:

Mint Motif available exclusively through

Each set measures 4x6" and retail for $10 each

I have always loved making shaped cards and this one was super fun to put together.  I used two square stamps from Mint Motif's Very Square set .  The polka dot stamp was perfect for my background (simply stamp the squares close together and then cut out your die shape from the patterned image).  To create the flower, stamp the design onto cardstock and cut using your die template :)  I am not sure if you have ever tried making a teeny tiny bow but man is it hard - well fear not my friends because this little bow was made with my Bow-Easy and it was quick and easy - I tell ya I loooove this little gadget.

Stamps: Mint Motif.  Die templates: Spellbinders™Nested Ducks, Labels Four and Flower Creations
Rub-on: K&Company.  Bow-Easy available from

Be sure and check out all the design team’s blogs and their fabulous projects!

Please feel free to ask any questions - I will answer them for you right here on this post :) Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great Friday filled with the promise of tons of crafty time this weekend!

JustRite & CPS :)

This week I had the pleasure of playing along on the sketch challenge blog called CPS as part of the JustRite Design Team.  I looved this super cute sketch with it's endless possibilities as demonstrated by their uber talented design team.  JustRite is the sponsor this week at CPS and if you play along you stand a chance of winning some super cute stamps!

JustRite is having a fun SALE too where you can get up to 25% off on selected stamps.  Here are the Deets:  JustRite May Sale.  On this card I used JustRite's Applique Decorative Border and Center Square Set which I colored with my Copics.  The square frame is die cut using my Spellbinders Classic Squares Lg Nestabilities and the paper is the divine & delicious Webster's Pages!

I am off to run some errands in this cold snowy May day in Colorado :)
Have a great Wednesday

Three Cheers for Chairs

I have always loved art galleries with their blank walls showing off dazzling artworks.  That was my inspiration for this card which I made for the week's challenge at Moxie Fab World .  It is one of those super quick projects that simply fell into place after the idea was born.  The chair is from Starving Artistamps (Classic Decor) and the pattern on the chair is from the soon to be released stamp range from Mint Motif.

I love subtle script print in light colors on a white background. Here I took the definition of a word that I use a lot, both in print and in speech, and printed it on cardstock from my computer in a light grey. I colored parts of the chair with my Copics and used a coordinating red cardstock on the inside of the card to tie everything together :)

I hope your Mothers Day was as awesome as  you wanted it to be :)

Exciting news: Mint Motif sneak peek is here!

The day has finally arrived for me to share my uber exciting news.  Kimberly Crawford, a brilliant cardmaker has launched her very own stamp range under the label Mint Motif and I am on the MINT MOTIF Design Team!!!!   It is thrilling to be part of a brand new venture and to work with products that are absolutely divine :)   Today the Mint Motif Design Team is giving you all a sneak peak of the very first stamps from the collection!

On my card I used a square stamp from the set called Very Square  (I sent Kimberly an email telling her I am officially in love with this stamp - the diamond shapes coupled with a quilted look makes this a winner in my ever growing stamp collection - to give the diamond shapes a bit of dimension I hand stitched along the stamped lines with thin thread).  The sentiment is from the set Very Square Sentiments - great for so many occasions :)  The paper, The Frond Collection Pad , is from Memory Box and can be purchased from and don't you love that gorgeous neat little bow - well I made it with my brand spanking new Bow-Easy (yay I finally have my own Bow-Easy) also available for purchase from

Mint Motif stamps will be available for purchase exclusively through
starting on Friday May 14th which is also the day of the official launch of these beautiful stamps.

Interested in winning some of your very own Mint Motif stamps?
Simply leave me a comment here and Kimberly Crawford will randomly select a winner from all participating blogs to win both sets!

*Kazan Clark*

Thank you so much for stopping by and remember to comment on all the designers blogs for a greater chance of winning!  Good luck & Happy Friday

Some Odd Girl

I remember snippets of the 70's growing up - fun stuff like my mom's cork platform shoes, my dad's sideburns and that awesome disco music that I still love today.  I {heart} the 70's!  This card brought back a little nostalgia from that era.  Some Odd Girl is the sponsor this week at 2 Sketches 4 You and I worked with the super cute Picnic Mae digital stamp.  Take a look at what our Design Team did with the other adorable Mae images at 2 Sketches 4 You .  You could win yourself Some Odd Girl goodies too if you play along ;)

I have a lot to share this week so will be back soon with another post.  Have an awesome Wednesday
