Sew Lovely

2S4Y {hearts} Lawn Fawn for 2 reasons: 1. The gorgeous Kelly Marie is on our DT 2. Lawn Fawn is sponsoring us this week!  This is my card for Laura's sketch using Sew Lovely from Lawn Fawn.  I created this card with the help of a new nifty stampers aid on the market called the Position-it from the great folks at Scor-it.  Following is a quick tutorial on how you can create a perfectly aligned border with clear or rubber stamps and the Position-it:

{Stamped Border Tutorial}
Position-it

1. First stamp your image on a strip of paper.  Align the image against the Sub-positioner and nudge everything firmly against the 'non-slip' main positioner.  Note how my paper lines up perfectly along the grid lines to help me keep my image straight.  I also used a small piece of masking tape to secure my paper to the board.  Note to Scor-it: Thanks for the large work surface - love that!

2. Next I stamped my image on the clear acetate sheet.  This enables me to see exactly where I want to stamp. Once you have everything in place secure you paper with a little tape and stamp away.

3.  Repeat the process until you have the desired number of stamps for your border.   Can you see that hole in the wood towards the top left?  The pegs that secure the main positioner to the board are removable so that you can easily slip your paper under the positioner as you move along stamping your border (yep I love that feature too Scor-it)

{Fixing Errors}

One of THE most frustrating things for me as a stamper is when I am almost done with my border and the final stamp is not inked enough!  Urgh!  With the Position-it you can finally put that concern to rest because you can stamp over and over on an image and get (near) perfect lines with no blurry vision or ghostly shadows.  It is really that great!

{Feeling Lucky?}

Ready to get your hands on one of these hot little numbers? You still have time to play along at 2 Sketches 4 You to stand a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Lawn Fawn Stamps and because it is our Anniversary we are also giving away a Position-it to one random player in the gallery. Details are all on the blog.

I am off to see my BFF's in SITC2 (yes I have heard the reviews but I have new Chinese Laundry shoes that are begging to be seen in public!)
