Groovy JustRite

Just a quick post to show you all one of the super cute releases from JustRite for the upcoming  Holidays.  This is the oh so purdy snowgal from JustRite's Groovy Snowman set .  She is one of 4 snowmen with interchangeable backgrounds. I am thinking a whole set of these would make an uber cute gift package (note to self).   That gorgeous round die is also a new release from Spellbinders.  I am seriously in love with the beautiful detailed cut-outs and embossed circles on S4-294 Beaded Circles.

I hope you are having a great week so far - mine has become seriously busy in just a few hours!!!  I have a lot to do but first we are off to the pool because even though I am posting Christmas cards it is still 90'+ out there and the girls need to get outdoors now!

Eeeek! I can share the surprise!

Spellbinders GRAND CALIBUR

Oh my gosh I can soooo excited to finally share the surprise that is being shared at CHA right now!  This my dear friends is the brand new Spellbinders Grand Calibur die cutting machine.  As the name suggests it is Grand on scale as well as features...this baby can cut and emboss LARGE die templates as well as a whole bunch of the smaller and regular size ones (together!!!)

This machine is so much fun that I can't even begin to explain on paper.  Imagine taking your favorite Nestabilities shapes and labels and making them bigger - way bigger!  Then imagine these shapes and labels on scrapbook pages, as shaped cards and altered items.  This is Spellbinders on steroids!

When I say bigger I mean bigger. This machine cuts and embosses media up to 8 1/8" wide with one turn of its handle and 8 1/2 x 11" paper fits it without trimming - heehaaaa!   and there is more...together with the Grand Calibur, Spellbinders is also revealing the Grand Nestabilities die templates which vary in size from 4" to the Grand 9"!  I tell you guys this is awesome stuff!!!

I can practically hear you chanting more, more, more!  You want to see more Grand Nestabilities don't ya?  More details are all available right now on the

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you are at CHA go and see this Grand beauty for yourself at booth # 1423 - tell the ladies I sent ya!

JustRite & Spellbinders at CHA

If you any of you are at CHA this week you should stop by the JustRite Booth and Spellbinders Booth.  Both companies are showcasing gorgeous new products with fabulous samples by the Design Team.  I am not at CHA - but I am super excited to see what the buzz is when people start posting on forums and facebook.  I know there is going to be some goood stuff for us to try and get our hands on..whoot whoot - all we need now is for the tweeters to start tweeting and the bloggers to blog!

JustRite is running a super special on their website with their new Bundled Packages.  The special right now is the Big Occasions Starter Kit which is perfect for your scrapbook pages and cards.  Here is a list of what you get

• 2" square stamper
• 1 5/8"" round stamper

With a sprinkle of this & a dash of that...

I love Shabby Chic especially on cards, home decor and dresses for little girls so I was over the moon when I saw the beautiful cards on Moxie Fab World from the uber talented masters of Shabby Chic!  Now I will admit my card is nothing like theirs however I was going for a more simplified Shabby Chic look (if there is even such a thing)

I used the lastest stamps from Mint Motif called Cake Shoppe and Cake Shoppe, Too.  To make them vintagy I used my softer pinks markers from Copic and some background paper from Basic Grey.  All this and more is available from i{heart}papers.com.  To cut the oval out I used Spellbinders Deckled Edge Classic Ovals Lg.

We are having another busy week and lots planned for the weekend too.   Have a good one

{Halloween Banner}

Create a keepsake Halloween banner for your home with Spellbinders new die templates: Witches Brew and Nested Bats.

1. Start off by cutting out and embossing your Halloween images from the S2-282 Witches Brew Set.  I used black cardstock for mine which created a silhouette effect.  To make the flying bats I cut my bat dies using the Spellbinders die templates S4-277 Nested Bats.  Simply fold the wings up and secure only the center section of the bat to your paper with a glue dot.

2. Using the Spellbinders S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand die template, cut several border strips from purple cardstock.  My banner has 5 triangle flags so you will need 2 border strips on either side for a total of 10 strips.
3. Cut triangular shaped flags from a variety of patterned paper.  Mount onto orange and black cardstock.  My triangles measure: 4.5x7.5x7.5".  Using adhesive, adhere the scalloped strips to the sides of the flags.  Secure a strip of ribbon to the top of each triangle and fasten large brads to either side.

4. Cut out various shapes using a variety of Spellbinders die templates and labels.  I used the shapes from Spellbinders S5-022 Labels Ten, S4-190 Labels Four, S4-114 Standard Circles Lg, S4-194 Classic Inverted Scalloped Circles Lg, S4-112 Classic Ovals Sm, S4-113 Classic Scalloped Ovals Sm, and S4-187 Large Scalloped Octagons.  Contrasting solid colors tend to show up better against patterned backgrounds.  Mix and match shapes, colors and patterns and then assemble by layering certain elements with foam dots and embellishing others with buttons, ribbon and twine.

The Halloween images remain the focal point of the banner because they are all solid colors and are contrasted against bright patterns and designs.  Thread twine through the brads and secure a beautiful bow on either side. Your banner is ready for display!

Oooh we are having fun at 2 Sketches 4 You because we are looking for another person to join our Design Team! That honor will be awarded to the lucky winner of Card of the Week and all you have to do to possibly win is make a card based off of this weeks sketch at 2S4Y - super easy huh!

This is my card based off of my sketch - I had fun putting making it because it was one of those rare moments for me where the idea, card and excecution thereof came together rather quickly.  It seems it was the right product at the right time for this quick-n-easy card - gotta love it when that happens!

Now Cath at Moxie Fab World has a bunch of challenges going on to celebrate Card Style which I want to participate in and I think this card fits in nicely with her challenge: Card Style: Let's do Fun & Cute.  Others that caught my eye are the graphic, shabby chic and elegant challenges so I guess I am going to be busy!

Have a wonderful week and try to stay cool out there!

JustRite Christmas in July Blog Hop

JustRite Stampers
Christmas in July
Blog Hop

Welcome to JustRite Stampers Christmas in July Blog Hop.  Switching to winter mode was a welcome relief as temptures soar outside.  It did not take me long to get into the Holiday spirit when I had such darling stamp sets to work with such as Groovy Snowman, Hearts Come Home, Holiday Cheer and From Our House.  Christmas Collection 1 is available now and ready for shipping.

For this shabby chic vintagy Christmas card I used the snowflake image and sentiment from the JustRite stamp set called

The sentiment forms part of the square border.  I simply cut a strip out of the border and folded it to form my banner.  I also cut out part of the snowflake and adhered it to the image with a foam dot for added dimension.

While I had all my supplies spread out on the table I thought it would be fun to make quick tags using the same set:

Christmas Tags

This tag is bold and bright.  I used my Copic markets to color in the image and Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Squares Lg for the base

The next tag has a more vintage and shabby chic element.  I used the same stamp set and also the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Square die template..

The sets are great for mixing and matching and come with 6 Designer Centers, 6 Designer Borders and fit the 2" Square stamper

Ready to see what the rest of the team created?  Simply follow along and enjoy the merriment and joy of Christmas in July, the JustRite way:

I hope I have inspired you to get a head start on your Christmas cards and tags.  Have a safe, happy and cool weekend.
Merry Christmas in July & Happy crafting!
:) Kazan

You can have your Cake Shoppe!

Today is release day for Mint Motif and this month Kimberly Crawford is presenting the oh so delicious looking Cake Shoppe and Cake Shoppe, Too stamp sets.  I think these stamps are perfect because they bring out the inner pastry chef in me :) I love the idea of decorating cakes but am truthfully a little intimidated by it.  Now I have a solution: Both sets are interchangeable and allow you to design your own one, two or three tier cakes with a variety of fun decorative icing borders - I used the polka dot bases and the swags for icing.

Cake Shoppe and Cake Shoppe, Too are available right now for purchase exclusively from i{heart}papers.com.  Other product that I used on this card is paper from Basic Grey's Olivia collection and October Afternoon's Good Cheer.  The cake was colored using my Copic Markers.

If you are feeling lucky then do leave me a comment because the gals from Mint Motif and i{heart}papers are giving away a set of Cake Shoppe and Cake Shoppe, Too stamps to a random winner from any of the participating designer's blogs!  Be sure to stop by each one to increase your chances of winning. Good Luck :)

I will have more cake for you to indulge on next week so be sure to stop on by. Have a great Wednesday

Are you eager to see what the rest of the team has created?  Well look now further because I have them listed for you here:

2S4Y {hearts} Mint Motif

Happy 4th!

This week the fabulous stamps designed by Kimberly Crawford under the label Mint Motif is the sponsor at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I made this card using Laura's gorgeous sketch and the Very Square stamps from Mint Motif.

To make the little window simply cut an opening using Spellbinders Classic Squares Sm.  The fun little sentiment, which fits perfectly on the squares, is also Mint Motif.  I stamped the sentiment on paper from the Memories Frond Collection Pad.

*Please Note*

Mint Motif stamps are available exclusively through i{heart}papers.com . At the time of writing this post the Very Square Sentiments are sold out :) however more have been ordered (yay).  Simply click the "Request re-stock notice" button to be notified when new stock is available.

Guess what?!!!! 2 Sketches 4 you has a set of Mint Motif Stamps to give away!!!  Yup - you could win a set of Very Square and Very Square sentiments simply by making a card based on Laura's sketch!  Details and sketch to be found here:

This is officially a holiday weekend and it is an awesome one at that!  I hope you all  have a super fun 4th of July surrounded by good friends, good food and tons of celebrations!
