JustRite Christmas Blog Hop Wednesday #1

Welcome to the very first week of JustRite Stampers 12 weeks of Christmas Blog Hops.  Today, and every Wednesday for the next 12 weeks, designers from across the industry will be showcasing JustRite's entire current Christmas Collection .   It is going to a huge event with ton's of ideas for cards, gifts and altered Christmas projects.  There will also be special offers along the way so sit back with your favorite bevie and enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit with JustRite Stampers!

I made a little list a few days ago of all the people on my Christmas gift giving list and it was quite sizable.  During these current economic times Gift Giving does not have to break the bank.  For today's project I took two great products and did a bit of stamping, inking and embellishing to create items that are sure to delight a teacher, coworker or friend on your Holiday Season list.

First up is an old fashioned Candy Jar which I picked up from Hobby Lobby for $1.99.  I think the sleigh center and darling sentiment from JustRite's Old Fashioned Christmas set is a perfect match for the lid.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the Sleigh with Copic markers .  Using Spellbinders Standard Circles die template cut a out a perfect circle to cover your lid. Finish by embellishing with a huge bow and some vintage Christmas baubles (which I found at a garage sale!).  Fill this baby up with some candy, bath salts - whatever and voila you have a thoughtful homemade gift!

{Tip for added dimension}
 Stamp the image twice and color the first image with the base colors while adding detail to the second image.  Carefully trim the second image and adhere to the first with a foam dot*

I am all about saving time so while I had my stamps, markers and die templates out I whipped up a second project that literally took minutes to complete.  This time I picked up a wooden snowflake from Hobby Lobby for $1.47!  Stamp and color the images as above and adhere onto a Spellbinders Large Scalloped Octagon.  Lightly run your Chamois E35 Copic Marker along the edges to vintage the snowflake up, thread the ribbon and finish with a bountiful bow.

{Special Offer}

Great gift ideas Kazan - I agree that gifts shouldn't break the bank!! Many people appreciate hand-made gifts much more than expensive store-bought gifts
