Mint Motif For You

Today I am sharing a card with you that I made using Mint Motif's School Basics.  Ironically today was the first day of preschool for my 4 year old.  Strangely I thought I would be more enthusiastic about giving her a hug and leaving her in the safe hands of her teacher but I walked away with a lump in my throat and an overwhelming desire to keep her home with me one more year.  I bet she has the best time but still that lump in my throat is still there..it may take me a little longer to get use to preschool than my daughter!

Okay back to the card! Even though the stamp set is geared towards all things school you can clearly use it for so many different occasions.  On a previous post I made a birthday card and this on can be an 'any occastion' card.  The writing strip, sentiment and stars are all from the School Basics Set (I particularly enjoy the fact that the words are all separate so that you can form your own sentiments which makes this set even more versatile).  School Basics is available exclusively through i{heart}papers.com.

I love this paper from Sassafras - it comes with that fancy scallopy border which I folded to create a dimensional look.  The paper and ribbon is all from i{heart}papers.
