I am not quite sure what the reason for my sudden 'wedding' fever is since two of my most recent projects have been all about weddings! Maybe because in this country many couples choose the upcoming summer months to tie the knot or perhaps I am enjoying the chitter chatter of friends in the midst of planning a wedding for their daughters :) So for those of you that may be attending, are in or planning a wedding in the near future hopefully this card can provide some inspiration for ya!
The stamps are from JustRite's April release. I looove the swirls and intricate designs of these square stamps. They remind me of exotic tiles - can't get enough of them. This particular stamp is from the Applique Decorative Border & Centers Set. The smaller square is cut from another stamp in the set and foam mounted on top of the larger square. The darling print butterflies are die cuts from Spellbinders called Flying Beauties (on sale too!). I turned up the wings and attached them to the card with a small Glue Dot so that they seem to be delicately fluttering on the squares.
Today is another cool grey day in Colorado so I think the girls and I will do some projects in the craft room. Have a great Thursday

I love how versatile a sticker can be and this week the gang at 2 Sketches 4 You got to prove it because we all played with Bo Bunny Stickers! Shanna Vineyard designs stickers for some of Bo Bunny's awesome collections. What I personally love about the stickers is the variety and that they look dimensional but are in fact flat. So for those you that love the look of brads, buttons, ribbons and twine on your cards but dislike the bulk for mailing then this may be just the product for you. Shanna together with Scrapbook.com is giving away stickers and gift vouchers to the winner of Card of the Week. Details here: 2S4Y
Have an awesome Wednesday!

Spellbinders' Impressabilities™ are fun and versatile and seem to be all the rage right now. There are so many different ways to use them and half the fun is coming up with a new technique to show off your embossed design. On this card I used the I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities™
which I embossed onto Core'dinations cardstock. After lightly sanding the embossed areas the Impressabilities detailed designs will be highlighted.
I also used one of JustRite Stampers 2" Square Decorative Frame stamps and created a little window for my star charm. The stamp is mounted onto a Spellbinders Classic Scallop Squares LG die template.
The wonderfully talented Gina K has some super fun video tutorials showcasing fun techniques with Impressabilities - take a peek here:
I hope you all have a wonderful restful Sunday and that you have an opportunity to get in some craft time too.
See you tomorrow

I love giving and receiving gifts that are spa related. Being pampered is such a fun luxury especially a manipedi or massage - mmmm bring it on. This week DeNami Design is the sponsor at 2 Sketches 4 You and this darling image is the DeNami stamp Mimi's Bubble Bath . How easy would it be to slip a gift certificate in this card for that special person in your life - I'm thinking Mother's Day is right around the corner! The soapy bubbles are Flower Soft's Polar White Diamond Range and the paper is Webster's Pages & American Crafts. That darling label tag is My Mind's Eye. The ribbon is Fancy Pants and the buttons are also from DeNami Design and are called Pastel Boutique Buttons - cute!
Remember we are on the lookout to add to our team - details are on 2S4Y. I have a busy weekend planned and it is all fun stuff - yay! Thanks for visiting & have a great weekend too.

It is that time of year again to participate in a JustRite Stampers New Release blog hop. You are going to LOVE what you see - I know this because I loved what I saw. All the new designs are awesome, some intricate in fine details, while others fun and whimsical. The JustRite design team has come together to bring you wonderful ideas for your inspiration and enjoyment.
One of my favorite color combinations at the moment is grey/silver and white. I was so inspired by JustRite's Kaleidoscope Borders & Centers Round that I immediately envisioned an elegant wedding ensemble. I made my own wrapping paper by stamping the image randomly on white paper. The silver ink is from Inkadinkado. Once the gift was wrapped I tied my silver ribbon into a lush bow and embellished the stamped images with gemstones. To give the ribbon a little pizzaz I added the lacy border which I cut and embossed using Spellbinders' Grand 12" Classic Lace Border .
Making the card was super easy because I had all the ingredients ready to go. This monochromatic color palette is so versatile too. By changing just the ink color and matching ribbon you could custom make gift wrap and cards for a baby shower, graduation, Christmas or just about any occasion - gotta love that!
Now I am sure you are all eager to see what else the other Design Team members have come up with so here is the list for you to go hopping:

I was so inspired by the recent Sew Rite challenge on the JustRite blog that I decided to make this card featuring stitching and this beautiful sentiment, Stitched together with Love, from JustRite. Other products include Basic Grey chipboard, Spellbinders Label Nine and Dear Lizzy chipboard embellishments.
We are having a really great time at the Spellbinders Retreat and sharing a ton of knowledge (and laughs) from a very talented group of Designers. It has been an awesome day 1 :) Off to get some beauty sleep in preparation for day 2...

My JustRite Stampers project to share with you this week is a note pad cover. This is such a super easy way to alter an ordinary object and can be made to fit any size note pad or post-it note pad.
The JustRite stamp is from the 1 1/16" collection which is on sale for a limited time at JustRite Stampers
What you will need:
- JustRite Tiny Words Borders and Centers
- Spellbinders ™ Fleur De Lis, Standard Circles Lg and Classic Scalloped Circles Lg die templates
- Little Yellow Bicycle Freshprint Clothesline paper
- Pearl embellishments
- Embroidery floss
Start off by measuring your paper pad. Design a template to use with your patterned paper and for future projects. My pad is 7.5 cm wide, 10cm long and 1cm thick (I think my notepad was made overseas because the metric measurements worked out perfectly). Score your first line at 10cm and your second line 1cm after the first. Score the 3rd line 10cm after the 2nd line and the 4th line 1cm after the 3rd.
Position the Fleur De Lis die template with the cut side down on the end flap of your paper. Fold the remaining sides of your paper under the die template with a piece of cardstock between the front flap and the other sections. This will ensure that the die template does not cut through all your layers. The front flap is held securely in position with a magnet which latches onto the bottom flap. I used Beacon's 3-in-1 advanced Craft glue to secure the top magnet in place.
You are now ready to assemble your project. Embellish the front cover with stamps and pearls. Adhere your pad to the inside cover with adhesive. Remember to secure the other magnet to the front of the other cover flap (mine is discretely hidden under the white stitched cardstock).
Thank you so much for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this project and I will gladly try to answer them for ya :)
Spellbinders is on the search for an International Guest Blogger to join their team for 1 month. This opportunity is available to all Spellbinder's paper crafters outside of the United States! All the details can be found on the Spellbinders Blog
Have a great Thursday

This week at 2 Sketches 4 You Laura has a great sketch (which I turned on it's side btw to fit with my image) and an equally great sponsor. Jane Beljo designs digital images called Jane's Doodles for Squiggle Fly and the 2S4Y DT got to play! Oh my goodness you won't believe how cute these images are AND how ultra cute the Design team's cards are - I want all of them - and I mean ALL! I worked with the Babushka Dolls, Olga and Sasha, on my card (which is rather Christmassy however, when you think the Holidays are right around the corner...ok kidding - I just loved them!)
Now Cath at Moxie Fab World has one of my favorite techniques as a challenge and that is paper piecing. I Looove this technique which I use a lot but I decided this was the perfect opportunity to use pp again - yay! On this card I printed the digital image several times on various patterned paper, cut out the individual sections and pieced them together. Quite simple and so effective :)
Alrighty then I have spent entirely too much time playing - so off to do some chores (yuk!). Have a great Tuesday
