JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #12

Wow can you believe it!  This is the final week of JustRite Stampers’  Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops!  Together we have journeyed through a whole menagerie of ideas for you to make special gifts for the upcoming Holidays.  During this time JustRite has been showcasing their entire Christmas Collection of stamps during the hops and ALL of those JustRite Original stamps are currently on sale at 25% off now through November 29, with free shipping within the U.S. on consumer orders over $50!  You can view all of those Holiday Sale stamp sets HERE

If you would like to go back through all of the hops and see all of the gorgeous Christmas inspiration from the past 11 weeks, you can do so by clicking on the 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops category on the JustRite Inspiration blog.  All of the designers’ projects are hyperlinked directly to their blog posts that have full details of how they created the project, so you won’t have to search for them!

Don’t forget that JustRite also has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find all of their cling stamp sets HERE.

This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the 2 Sketches 4 You designers!

JustRite is sponsoring this week’s 2S4Y #66 sketch challenge.

You can find the fabulous sketch inspiration AND details about the JustRite prize package, by visiting their blog post HERE.

My final project is a continuation of last week's Daily Journal Cover.  My Daughter and her American Girl doll are inseparable so I thought that this image of two little girls would be perfect to alter my frame.

I used another image from the JustRite Cling Elizabeth Dulemba collection.  This one is from Quiet Moments and features two little girls sitting on a blossom branch looking at the moon.  The great feature about this set is that the fairy wings can be stamped separately, and when cut out and glue dotted to your image, you will have created a gorgeous 3D effect.  The sentiment is also from the same set but the frame is from the In the Moonlight Collection.  The beauty of this frame is that it has been designed to be compatible with Spellbinders Labels Fourteen die template.  After stamping and coloring my images with Copic markes I trimmed the image and die cut the sentiment and adhered them to my frame.  This frame and the journal will be carefully wrapped and placed under the tree for Christmas morning :)

Thank you so much for spending time with me during the past 12 weeks.  I hope you were inspired to make something during this Holiday season :) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

Spellbinders & Friends Holiday Hoppin' Event

Welcome to the first day of the Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Holiday Hoppin’ Blog Hop!  Spellbinders, along with Spellbinders Cross Promotional Partners are showcasing their newest products just in time for your Holiday crafting and gift giving.

Lots of creative ideas are in store, as well as prizes galore!

Each participating company has generously donated towards the prize package listed on the Spellbinders Blog.  A total of two identical prize packages, one for each day, November 18 and 19 will be given away!  To enter, just leave a comment on a participating blog!  Comments in the first 48 hours of the post are eligible.  One commenter each day will be randomly selected as the winner.  Winners will be announced on November 22, on the Spellbinders Blog!

For this project I used my Spellbinders Grand Labels One to frame the image of my stamped Santa.  I had seen a paper poinsettia wreath on the Martha Stewart website and was inspired to make my own interpretation thereof using Spellbinders die templates, cardstock, patterned paper, glitter and stamps.  Here is a list of supplies you will need:

{Supplies}

Paper: The Robin's Nest: Glittered Clover Border, Red Lion
Speciality Paper: 3M Post-it Craft Full Adhesive
Markers: Copic
Other: styrofoam wreath, ribbon, glitter berries

{How To}
Below you will find my first attempt at a video blog tutorial :)  In this video you will see a basic introduction to the Grand Calibur, Grand Labels One and Labels One die templates and how to make a glittered frame like the one on my wreath:

I created the inside glittered petals of the Poinsettia flowers the same way I made the frame. Simply cut each center flower out using the Poinsettia die template and Post-it Craft Paper.  Peel off backing and dip in glitter.

Simply leave a comment on my blog to be eligible to win the Spellbinders Holiday Hoppin

Thank you so much for stopping by today - I hope you enjoyed my project and video (eeeak).  Be sure to see all of tomorrow’s Holiday Hoppin’ blogs for inspiring projects and another chance to win!

Justrite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #11

Hello and Welcome to the 11th week of JustRite Stampers’  Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops!  Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  Don’t forget that JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find them HERE.  This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the Stampers Dream design team and a few other special guests!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps, so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops!

In celebration of JustRite’s Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you:

 take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 29 with free shipping within the U.S. on orders over $50

This week my project for you is one that is quick, easy and super super cost effective!!!!  This is a gift you can make for anyone in your family - and I mean anyone that loves to keep a little planner in their purse or drawer.   I was in Joanne's the other day and found these 2011 Weekly planners in their $1 section.  Now many of you know that I have a 6 year old but what you might not know is that she is super organized and particular and loves to keep everyone on schedule!  I decided to alter the cover and make it more girly-girl and appropriate for my little organizer.  Now she can schedule swimming, homework, playdates and sleepovers and I might even have her keep track of my schedules - now there's a thought!!!  I am also thinking this is a perfect gift to give her little friends from school.  It did not take long to make and I simply used the supplies I had on hand...

{Supplies}

JustRite Stamps: In the Moonlight Cling
Spellbinders: Lacey Squares
Markers: Copic
Ink: Memento
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Gems: Flourish Recollections
Weekly Planner Journal: Joanne's
Post-it Fully Adhesive Craft Paper

{How To}

 I purchased a 2011 Weekly Planner from the dollar section at Joanne's.  After removing the plastic protective cover I adhered white Full Adesive Craft Paper from Post-it to the front and back covers.  Cut a panel of patterned paper to fit the front of your planner.  Embellish patterned paper with inked die cuts, gems and stitching.  Stamp your image on white cardstock and color with copic makers. Trim around the edges and adhere to your front panel with foam squares.  Finish by slipping the covers back into the protective plastic layer.

CupCards to Go & 2S4Y

The 2 Sketches 4 You team really knocked out some creative interpretations of this week's sketch using product from CupCards to Go December Kit.  I loved the wintery colors with fun sparkly snowflake embellishments, buttons and ribbon.  That embossed paper is particulary gorgeous don't you think?

You can play along too - simply make a card based on my sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You.  Upload it to the gallery.  We will announce the winner of COTW on Sunday :)  I have a super crazy week ahead which includes TWO blog hops.  One for JustRite Stampers on Wednesday and one for Spellbinders on Thursday!  Hope you find time to stop by and say Hi :)

Have a great Monday. See you Wednesday

Layers of Color & 2S4Y

I am sooo in love with the products from this weeks sponsor over at 2 Sketches 4 You.  Layers of Color have such gorgeous stamps and stencils that my mind is brimming with ideas for all sorts of occasions.  On this card I used the Botanical Swirls Art Stencil and the fruit pin from Fruitful Harvest.  I like the way these stamps are grand enough to fit in anywhere ;)

{Special Offer}

Layers of Color also have a blog hop going on right now with a special of 31% off on some of their stamp sets.  If you would like to play along with Laura's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You and try to win yourself some of these gorgeous stamps you still have time. Details can be found here: 2S4Y

I hope your weekend is going well so far.  I am about to do a few chores and settle down and get creative..whoot whoot!

Justrite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #10

Welcome to the 10th week of JustRite Stampers’  Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops!  Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving we have been showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  Don’t forget that JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find them HERE.

For the month of November we thought we would also throw in some holiday gift ideas for any of your JustRite stamps so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops!  And in celebration of JustRite’s 10th week of Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you:

*take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 15, with free shipping within the U.S. with your $50.00 order*
Don't forget to tell Santa!

This week I have a fun gift idea for you.  I am sure that you, just like me, probably have a growing list of people that you would like to give a little something-something to and are looking for ways to stretch your gift giving budget.  Instead of 'just' a bottle of wine how about a whole matching gift ensemble that will take you less than a morning to make.  My set includes 4 glass coasters, 4 glass charms, and a tag for that special bottle of Merlot.

{Supplies}

White and Black Cardstock
Floss, gems, chalk, wine charm rings

{How To}
Coaster: Stamp your snowman family image four times on white cardstock. Color with Copic markers.  Cut out circle shapes using the circle die template.  Mat onto black Lacey circles.  Stitch along the circumference with contrasting colored floss.  Adhere a circle cardstock piece to the back to finish off your coaster.
Glass charm: Stamp a snowflake image four times on white cardstock. Color each snowflake a different color (this is important because that is how a guest will be able to identify which glass is theirs) or alternatively use different images for each charm. Cut out each charm using the smallest Lacey circle die template.  Embellish with colored gems.  Punch a tiny hole and thread with a metal charm bracelet.

(Tip:  Over the years I received or purchased a number of wine glass charms and have accumulated quite a stash. If you have a few to spare -  take 4 existing charms off of their rings and use those rings to assemble  your new personally handmade charms).

Are you excited to see the rest of teams work? I know I am so here you go..

Once again thanks so much for spending part of your day with me - I appreciate your comments and support.  If you have any questions about what you see please feel free to give me a shout, I will try and answer them here for ya :)

Q&A

Hi Marian, Thanks for that great suggestion!  My husband thought that laminating them would make them last longer too but we don't have a laminator at home.  I am almost sure the Spellbinders die templates will cut through the plastic.  If you do give it a try let me us know what works for you :)

PS Thanks for all those wonderful b/day wishes from last week!

Justrite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #9

This Wednesday is special for two reasons - first we celebrate another week of JustRite Stampers’ Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops!  and secondly it is my Birthday today but more about that at the end of this post :)

This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team is the Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge blog design team!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps, so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops!  And in celebration of JustRite’s 9th and 10th weeks of Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you:

{Special Offer}

Take 25% off  All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 15, with free shipping within the U.S. -- Don't forget to tell Santa!!

This week I chose to make a teeny-tiny Mini-album on a keychain as a gift for the Grandparents.  When I say teeny-tiny I mean just that.  My album measures 2"x2" which is about the length of your thumb! I used 2" square matteboards called Twinchies Squares from a company called Inchie Arts.  The stamp set, which I colored with Copic markers, is JustRite Stampers: From Our House (2" Square).  The stamps fit perfectly on each square and because of the texture of the mattboard, coloring with Copics creates bright crisp results.  My photo-editing software on my computer allows me to size my pictures exactly the way I need them.  I printed each picture 1.25" square and mounted them on black cardstock before adhering them to the Twinchie.   I used my Crop-a-dile to punch a whole through each square and threaded them onto a keyring.  Finish by embellishing with a large bow :)

The following Blog Hop participants all have fabulous ideas to make your gift giving a very personal and rewarding experience this Holiday Season:

Birthday Celebrations

I don't often post pics of myself because I am super shy when it comes to the camera - not in person though *lol*...but I promised some of the Spellbinders gals I would share a pic of the 'new' me on my b/day so here you go!  The boots are a b/day pressie from Hubs (Laura took this shot of me yesterday in her new kitchen)
  Cheers to another year of good health, good fortune and good friends!
