On this shaped window card I used a sentiment and oval stamp from JustRite Stampers Because I Care - Cling set.  I teamed the oval border stamp and sentiment up with Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two die template.  The other images on the Because I Care set are also designed to compliment the other die templates from Fancy Tags Two which leaves you with a variety of options when it comes to creating and matching your favorite stamps with your favorite die templates.  Those gorgeous pearls on the tag die template are called Nestabling and are designed to specifically compliment Spellbinders die templates.

While you are visiting each blog be sure to leave a little love for all the inspiring work.  Along the way JustRite has 3 Mystery Blog Candies hidden somewhere along the Hop.  For your chance to win one of the fabulous prizes you must leave a comment on the mystery location blog post (hint: leave a comment on each blog to make sure your bases are covered).  All 21 Locations are eligible locations for the Mystery Blog Candy!!

Flourishes & Spellbinders Blog Hop

We don’t need to tell you that tags and labels are two of the trendiest items to hit the card making market in a long time! To help you add style and pizzazz to your creations, Flourishes has teamed up with Spellbinders Paper Arts to make sure you have the perfect set of stamps to match a darling set of tag style dies. I stamped my labels on Spellbinders Labels Twenty using Clearsnap ink and those beautiful pearl flourishes are from Want2Scrap.

Wonderfully whimsical and reminiscent of Grandma’s calico prints, Flourishes  “charming” set offers three labels that coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders S4-322 Spellbinders Grommet TagsDesigned by Becky Fleck, you'll also find 6 beautiful sentiments and 4 accent stamps to dress up your labels!

Pair that with Flourishes Country Charm Borders and you have the perfect set to make darling note cards in minutes. Flourishes coordinating Country Charm Borders set features five border strips that match the labels set to a tee. What fun!

Because I care Party Favor Cone

One of my favorite color combinations for spring and summer is pink and green.  For JustRite Stampers newest release 'Because I Care'  I decided to make a favor cone using this sassy color combo.  The gorgeous tag stamp was designed to match Spellbinders S5-030 Fancy Tags Two.  I love that there are area's to color to match the color scheme of your project.  The sentiment is from another JustRite set called Faith.  The 'Because I Care' care set includes the following:

  • Set of 16 Cling Stamps
  • Deeply Etched Red Rubber
  • Mounted on static cling foam
  • Includes 8.5” x 5.5” storage panel
  • Easy to store
  • Clings to any acrylic block
  • Easy repositioning

When it came time to photograph my project I hung it from a tree in our backyard - wow!  It looked so magical amongst the new green birch leaves.  I pictured a whole bunch hanging as party favors for a summer soree!  This project took very little time to assemble which makes it perfect for smaller group events.

{Supplies & Directions}

 Make a cone shape from patterned paper and secure seams with adhesive.  Cut borders from Spellbinders Banner Basics One and adhere around the rim of the cone.  Stamp tag image onto white cardstock and color borders with Copic Markers.  Position die template from Spellbinders S5-030 Fancy Tags Two over stamped image and secure with tape. Cut/emboss using the Grand Calibur die cutting machine.  Stamp sentiment onto tag.  Cut leaf shapes from Spellbinders Foliage and adhere them to the cone shape.  Adhere tag using foam dots.  Punch a hole on either side and thread ribbon to form a handle.  Fill with candy or other party favor product.

Smile! It's JustRite

"Everyone Smiles in the Same Language"

Is this not just the sweetest sentiment!  A smile says so many things and costs nothing.  How fun that we can translate that message on a card with this gorgeous stamp set from JustRite's newest release called Smile.
This set will fit your 3/4" stamper and comes with 4 designer centers and 4 borders -  so mix 'n match to your hearts content.
Want even more versatility?

Mix 'n Match these new wide 31/4" borders with all your 2" JustRite centers :)

{Make this Card}
Heres How

Apply ink to the stamp in various shades (I used Clearsnap inks). Stamp image onto white cardstock.  Position Spellbinders S4-114 Standard Circles lg in the center of the stamped image and secure with tape.  Position Spellbinders S4-316 Heart Circles over stamped image and cut frame window shape.

Fold card base from cardstock.  Adhere patterned paper panel to the front.  Position circle die template on the front panel and cut out circle shape (see design tip below). Adhere die cut heart circle over window.  Stamp sentiment onto white cardstock and die cut using Spellbinders Standard Circles Lg die template.  Adhere sentiment to the inside of the card with foam dots. Finish by embellishing with ribbon and a butterfly from Spellbinders S3-146 Butterflies Two

{K-Design Tip}
Die-cutting a Window Card

If you are using the Grand Calibur simply die cutting machine lay your card flat (unfolded) on the Base Plate A and cut a shape in the front panel of your card to create a window.  If you are using the Wizard die cutting machine slip the magnetic spacer sheet between the front and back covers of your card (folded)  - this will protect the back cover from being cut.  Position your die template as usual to cut the window through the front cover.

A Scrapbook Page using Spellbinders Grand Dies

My roots in this industry began with scrapbooking and so it is always fun when I can sit down and create a page of my two favorite subjects - our girls (just a little bias I know).  This picture was taken a few weeks ago when we visited California.  We were at Newport Beach having lunch with our group of friends.

Mother's Day is just around the corner and so is National Scrapbooking Day so the timing of this layout for the Spellbinders Blog is quite fitting.  I used my LF-246 Grand Labels Eleven, S4-190 Labels Four, Grand Calibur™ Die Cutting Machine as well some of my favorite manufactures product on here too. The paper is from Graphic 45, the markers are Copic and the stamps are Layers of Color and Flourishes.  For details on how I created this page please visit the Spellbinders Blog.

I hope your Tuesday is going well.
