Hello
everyone. Welcome to the very first day of Sneak Peek: Spellbinders™
Summer Spectacular. I have two projects to share with you today using
the brand new and super gorgeous Majestic Decorative Elements
Circle die template set!
Spellbinders Supplies:
S4-384 Majestic Decorative Elements Circle MSRP $24.99
GC-001 Grand Calibur® Machine
Cross Promotional Partners Supplies:
{Tutorial for Majestic
Decorative Elements Circle Flower}
I started off by nesting Majestic
Decorative Elements Circle die templates #4 and #5 (#1 is the
smallest) in one another. After positioning the red cardstock
over the die templates, I cut the shape out using the Grand Calibur
Machine. I repeated the process using orange cardstock.
Using my Scor-Pal scoring board, I
carefully scored a line from each point on my star shape. I
alternated mountain and valley folds along the scored lines to create
a dimensional flower.
After adhering both the orange and red
flowers together I preceded to make the center petals.
After positioning white cardstock over
the Majestic Decorative Elements Circle die templates #6 I
cut/embossed the shape. Using a pair of scissors I neatly
trimmed along the border creating a decorative strip. Starting
from one end I neatly rolled the strip of paper to form my flower. I
secured the rolled flower to the center of my scored red and orange
petals.
{Majestic Decorative Sun
Catcher}
This sun catcher was fun to create
using all the die templates from the Majestic Decorative
Elements Circle die template set. I layered different die
templates to create each design and cut/embossed them using
Spellbinders Delicate Pastels Premium Craft Foils Assortment. After
adhering the foil to the front and back of the cut cardstock dies I
assembled the sun catcher with wire and jewellery embellishments.
{Tip}
Spellbinders foil can be sanded with a
sanding block to create a vintage or distressed look. Sanding
the color foil reveals a tarnished silver finish.
