Etching on a Glass Vase

One of my favorite crafty projects is etching on glass. This ancient practice takes on a superbly modern twist with wonderful etching products available in local craft stores.   One of my favorite etching products is a cream called Armour Etching Cream.  I simply applied it to the glass, followed the manufactures recommended drying time and rinsed it off.  Simple, easy and not much expertise needed - promise ;)

Prizes to be won with Momenta & Purple Cows

Welcome to Momenta + Purple Cows: Day 4

Today is also the official release date of the brand new Momenta website.  Oh my word it is so gorgeous.  I love how bright and fun it is and super easy to navigate.   The sleek modern design with clean lines is so my style - it makes me want to spend hours poking around and do a little shopping too *wink*.  When you have a moment take a peek at all the new features at:

Wow this has certainly been a week filled with tons of fun projects, new releases and so much more.  I hope Friday brings you all a welcome respite as we head on in to the weekend.  We are off to the Mountains for some R&R. Should be tons of fun

Pretty Pink Rose Card

There is something perfectly timeless about stamped flower images.  I love how I can use a stamped image on traditional cards as well as pairing them up with trendy images like this stamped Chevron design for a more contemporary feel.

On today's card I used JustRite's Chevron Stripe Background Stamp and the rose image from the With Sympathy clear stamps set.

To make this shaped card I used Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles and Classic Circles LG.  I heat embossed the Chevron Stripe Background stamp and colored my rose image with Copic Markers.

E is for Easter Egg :)

Today's project is a fun little Easter Card made using a pretty border stamp from JustRite called:

Classic Scallop Borders One

These stamps were designed to perfectly match Spellbinders E8-001 Edgeabilities Classic Scallop.  

To make this card I created a shaped card base by folding my cardstock in half and die cutting the shape using Spellbinders Lattice Rectangles.  After stamping/heating embossing my Classic Scallop Borders on purple, blue and yellow cardstock I die cut each strip using the Edegeabilities Classic Scallop and adhered them to my shaped card base.  I finished my card by adding ribbon, a die cut egg shape and the glitter alpha-letter "e" for Easter or egg :)

Au Revoir Card

I am not a huge fan of making farewell cards because in so many cases I don't want to say goodbye to the recipient.  This is true in this case too.   My wonderful hair stylist recently informed me that he was moving to California! My first reaction was to cry out loud with a very audible: "nooooooooo!".  I support him 100% in his new venture and I know he is going to do very very well but that does not mean that I am super happy about this news.  I  even justified his desertion with the comforting thought that I might be able to rub shoulders with the rich and famous (well not literally but if he cuts George's hair and he once cut mine - then George and I have a serious connection!!!!).  

When JustRite released their beautiful new background stamps I instantly loved this one because of it's countless possibilities.  The latest in a variety of backgrounds is called:

I made the sentiment tag from Want2Scrap chipboard.  These shapes were especially designed to fit Spellbinders die templates.  This particular one comes in a set of three and is called: Nestaboard Fancy Tags Two

An Easter Card with JustRite & Spellbinders

Easter is just around the corner and that was certainly my inspiration when I sat down to make this card!  JustRite is releasing a whole bunch of new stamp sets this week that were debuted at CHA this past January.

I used two sets of JustRite stamps on my card.  The first set is a background stamp called:

The second stamp set I used on this card is the cross and flower image from:

Easter Blessings Oval Medallions

I loved this rather contemporary color palette.  The grey, red, green and kraft makes for an interesting deviation from the traditional pastel colors used at Easter time.  I also used Spellbinders Labels Twenty Five to make my shaped card and the beautiful Ironwork Motifs as a background die for my stamped cross.

It's Not Goodbye Just So Long...

Today marks my final day as a Spellblogger for Spellbinders' Paper Arts.  What a fantastic year this has been filled with tons of creativity using our favorite crafty products of all time!  Even though I am saying goodbye as a Spellblogger I am still staying on as one of the "family" members of Spellbinders.  My new role within the company will still allow me to create & share and there is a lot more!  I will be sharing my continued journey with Spellbinders right here on my blog.

This year has been one of the most rewarding ever in my crafty career because of these two gorgeous gals, fellow Spellbloggers: Julie and Holly.  I am so grateful to have in you my life as two of my closest friends.

We all wrote a farewell message to Spellbinders blog readers and shared a favorite project on this post:

A Card Celebrating Together!
