Home Decor Canvas

Today's project is something a little different.  I made this altered canvas with paint, my Spellbinders Jewel Goddess die templates, foil and silverware aged with Copic markers *lol*.  For a full tutorial visit   the Positively Me by Julianna Hudgins blog post

I have a ton of errands to run today but my mind is on all those people in peril because of the Colorado Wildfires.  Hugs to all my fellow Coloradans to the North and South of me.

Sneak Peek: Spellbinders Summer Spectacular!

Hello everyone. Welcome to the very first day of Sneak Peek: Spellbinders™ Summer Spectacular. I have two projects to share with you today using the brand new and super gorgeous Majestic Decorative Elements Circle die template set!

Spellbinders Supplies:
S4-384 Majestic Decorative Elements Circle MSRP $24.99
GC-001 Grand Calibur® Machine

Cross Promotional Partners Supplies:

{Tutorial for Majestic Decorative Elements Circle Flower}

I started off by nesting Majestic Decorative Elements Circle die templates #4 and #5 (#1 is the smallest) in one another.  After positioning the red cardstock over the die templates, I cut the shape out using the Grand Calibur Machine.  I repeated the process using orange cardstock.
Using my Scor-Pal scoring board, I carefully scored a line from each point on my star shape.  I alternated mountain and valley folds along the scored lines to create a dimensional flower.
After adhering both the orange and red flowers together I preceded to make the center petals.

After positioning white cardstock over the Majestic Decorative Elements Circle die templates #6 I cut/embossed the shape.  Using a pair of scissors I neatly trimmed along the border creating a decorative strip.  Starting from one end I neatly rolled the strip of paper to form my flower.  I secured the rolled flower to the center of my scored red and orange petals.

{Majestic Decorative Sun Catcher}

This sun catcher was fun to create using all the die templates from the Majestic Decorative Elements Circle die template set.  I layered different die templates to create each design and cut/embossed them using Spellbinders Delicate Pastels Premium Craft Foils Assortment.  After adhering the foil to the front and back of the cut cardstock dies I assembled the sun catcher with wire and jewellery embellishments.

{Tip}
Spellbinders foil can be sanded with a sanding block to create a vintage or distressed look.  Sanding the color foil reveals a tarnished silver finish.

Snowfall Tags that are JustRite

It's not quite Christmas in July - but almost :)  We continue this week with the release of brand new sets from JustRite Papercrafts.  Today's set includes a beautiful snowflake background stamp and a fun assortment of holiday sentiments.  For all my friends out there that make cards for a living remember it's never too soon to plan ahead...busy cardmaking season is just a few months away ;)

Of course I used my Spellbinders on these monogrammed tags.  The tag base is a die template set called Deckled Mega Rectangles LG and the beautiful snowflake is from the set called 2011 Snowflake Pendants.  Finally the center of my snowflake is a stamped die template from Lacey Circles.

Thank You JustRite Card

Today I have a gloriously vintage inspired card brought to you by the makers of JustRite stamps.  This Tuesday kicks off their latest release filled with the most beautiful stamps and sentiments!  Once again JustRite has created a stamp set that coordinates with Spellbinders die templates - love that when I can take my die templates and kick it up a notch!  Here are the deets:

As you can see the stamp set coordinates with Spellbinders Labels Twenty offering double the versatility for those babies!  The other coordinating Spellbinders product that I used was Nestaboard from Want2Scrap.  I love the kraft colored chipboard - precut according to Spellbinders die template sizes.   I used this one as a chipboard accents on either side of my Label.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I have another project from this release to share with you tomorrow.  Have an awesome day!
