Faberge Egg Inspired

Lacey Tier Die Template from JustRite Papercraft

I love the beautiful ornate designs on the world famous Faberge Eggs.  When I first looked at the intricate design on the Lacey Tier die template from the custom JustRite Papercraft Spellbinders collection I immediately sought inspiration from those magnificent eggs.

Not only are the designs intricate and detailed but the colors contrast against one another in magical jewel tones.  I love how the light blue and gold show together.  This exotic color combination reminds me of ancient middle eastern kingdoms.  This card could be easily recreated for so many occasions including Christmas, Anniversary, Birthday, Housewarming - virtually anything!!!

Making the card was super easy - the base and circle detail were all cut from gold card stock.  The outside square detail was cut from white card stock.  I matted the inner panel on light blue and added small and larger gold gemstones for added fabulousness.

The JustRite team have all come together to bring you tons of inspiration on how to use this beautiful die template.  Be sure to click on the links below to visit each ones blog:

  4. A gorgeous card with baubles in all the right places, too! The elevated center of the medallion adds even more depth, interest, and beauty. I don't have a blog but I love to surf and absorb, hopefully applying some of the talent I see to my own cardmaking. TFS.. venicepat@hotmail.com

    1. Thank you so much Pat. I really appreciate you noticing the details in this card... The center is indeed elevated. I did that by bending the cardstock slightly creating a slight dome before adhering it to the base. I was hoping the shadow in the photography would pick that up!!! Enjoy your cardmaking too :)
