Traditional Cardinal Christmas Card

I know it seems like I dropped off the face of the earth but here I am with a project!  Surprise... Actually it did feel like I had landed on Mars for a while.  Our little family did one of the Big 5 - we moved!  We  sold our house just south of Denver and moved just north of Denver and it only took us 2 months LOL.    We have semi-settled down but still have a ton of boxes to unpack....

My craft room looks a mess but I really wanted to get back to doing what I love - and that's creating.  When Kellie from JustRite inquired if I was back to normal I responded eagerly with a little white lie...Yes I am back to normal - meaning I am ready to create but No totally not back to normal meaning my life is crazy but I am ready to create :)  I think the skype video call kinda gave that away ;)

Sooo I dug out a few favorite supplies and created my first project in months....this is my very traditional Christmas card using two of JustRite's newest releases.  The cardinal, which I colored with my Copic markers and fussy cut belongs to this stamp:

I used the Cardinal image and the oval from this stamp set but decided to use another background for my card.  I achieved the beautiful intricate design by stamping and embossing the background stamp onto craft colored cardstock.  This background stamp set is set for release in August, so technically this is a little sneak peek for ya :) but...if you really want it you can find it here:

Now I know you are eager to see more ways to use this set - as well as sneaks on our other new releases.  The JustRite team has worked hard to bring you these fine projects:

Angela Barkhouse
Marisa JobBarb SchramMargie Higuchi

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  It really feels good to be back.  See you soon.

Hello from Arvada! Big move, lol! I think the shorter distance moves can be more trying than long distance moves.

I totally agree - I feel like I have been moving forever!!! and still not done. Hopefully settling in will take quicker as we get use to our new digs :) Love this part of Denver though - Mountains and countryside is good for the soul
