Wedding Love Card

We recently attended our niece's wedding in Canada.  It was one of those magical occasions set in a majestic environment.  Valemount is tucked away amongst endless trees and flowing rivers right in the heart of British Columbia.  The natural beauty of the surroundings was the perfect background for this down to earth couple.

It was so much fun!  I told Kevin that if we ever renew our vows with a ceremony I want to use some of the ideas from this wedding (ha!!!!)  Needless to say weddings put me in a romantic mood hence the theme of today's card.

I used two different JustRite Papercraft stamps which are part of this month's new releases:

I used this stamp set to create the patterned background on my card.  The white is heat embossed onto pink paper.

This stamp is also heat embossed.  I cut out the center circle to create a window for my sentiment

Pink & Green Inspiration Card

I have a few friends that have recently embarked on journey's where faith played a huge part in them taking that leap towards success.  Woman that I am so proud of and inspired by took that "First Step" when they could not see the path and now today are all on their way to huge successes and recoveries!

I created this card using a brand new sentiment and label stamp set from JustRite - coupled with a little Spellbinders thrown into the mix too!

Congrats Vintage Labels Three & Seven Cling Stamps

I used the letterpress technique for my background. Start off by inking up the one side of the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder.  Carefully position the cardstock over the inked area and emboss the entire sandwich.  After removing the paper from the folder you are left with a delicate letterpress design.

I assembled all the parts after I colored in my stamp with Copic Markers.

Once again a very versatile stamp set with beautiful possibilities.  Take a look at the JustRite Inspiration team's creations here:

A Bee-tiful Day Card

First off let me apologize for not having this post up earlier with the rest of the JustRite team but I was at a CK (Creating Keepsake) convention in St. Louis Missouri.  Lo, and behold! we got caught up in bad tornado weather.  Needless to say because of the storm, the hotel internet was terrible so that put a damper on my blogging aspirations for the weekend.  Back in Colorado now and after some much needed rest I am back to doing some posting!

This new stamp set from JustRite makes me happy.  I love the little garden motifs and the bee is simply adorable!

I colored the background with Copic markers and used JustRite's background set called:

Elegantly Green

Ashton, my daughter, has always loved the color green - since she was a little girl.  Now all "grown-up" at the tender age of 9, she still gravitates towards it.  Whenever I create with green I always think of her.  This card was not only inspired by shades of green but also by my daughter's quiet elegance as she grows into a beautiful young lady.

I used a combination of JustRite Papercraft products on this card, including new releases for the month of April:

From this stamp set I used the beautiful delicate leaves - which I stamped twice and fussy cut.  I also created a custom tag for the sentiment - which rings so true in it's simplicity.  Love it!

Here's the fun part: I used this background stamp to create my patterned label colored in shades of green! Start off by stamping your background onto green cardstock and then fill in the accents with Copic Markers (shades of green of course!)

Once I had colored in my background I cut the label shape using my Antique Labels One Dies.

If you look carefully you can see the detailed white embossed panel on the front of the card.  I created that look using Spellbinders beautiful M-Bossabibilites Framed Petite Labels embossing folders.

This set is so versatile - from cute to elegant - and the JustRite Design Team have created spectacular samples for your inspiration

Thanks Card & Spellbinders Faber-Castell Sale!

A simple monochromatic color scheme is a quick way to unite different facets on a card.  Today I used color to combine 4 different elements.  The patterned paper, background & flower stamp are brought together by the reds to form an overall unified design

I started off with two stamps from JustRite Papercrafts latest release.

1. Apply various shades of red ink to background burlap image and stamp onto white cardstock
2. Trim image down the middle and realign to form a narrower panel.
3. Color in flower image using shades of red Spectrum Noir markers
4. Assemble card and finish with a decorative bow.
